Tea Light Ornaments - Machine Shed

There’s snow place like home for the holidays. Nothing makes a heart more full than being surrounded by family during the holiday season. If you are looking for a fun way to bond with family members of all ages, we have the perfect craft for you! It is a tea light snowman ornament we found on One Little Project. It is easy to put together and will help light up your tree to ensure it is extra bright. All you need is:

  • Tea lights
  • Black sharpie
  • Red ribbon
  • Red pipe cleaner
  • Black felt
  • Red pom-poms
  • Hot glue gun

Once you have assembled the supplies, there are two different snowman looks you can create, one wearing a hat and the other wearing ear muffs. For both looks you start by drawing dot eyes with a dot smile with the black sharpie. Then add a scarf by cutting a small piece of red ribbon and folding it in an “X” formation before hot gluing it on. Now here is where the difference comes in.

For the ear muffed snowman you:

  1. Cut the red pipe cleaner into a little piece and glue it on the top of the light.
  2. Glue on a red pom-pom to the end of each side of the pipe cleaner.
  3. Add a loop on top with red ribbon to hang the ornament.

For the hat snowman:

  1. Cut a square out of the black felt.
  2. Cute a shorter longer black rectangle.
  3. Glue the square to the rectangle to create a hat and then glue it to the top of the light.
  4. Glue on a piece of red ribbon to the hat to add some decoration.
  5. Add a loop on top with red ribbon to hang the ornament.

After you are finished creating your light up snowman ornaments, hang them on your tree and then admire your work while relaxing with your family.
