The family tractor spent its life nestled in the rolling hills of Manchester, Iowa on a small dairy farm belonging to the Haynes family. A place where a bountiful blue sky reflects off authentic shiny John Deere green tractors. This family heirloom was first discovered at Wallace’s Buick/Deere dealership in Manchester by Harry Haynes. After Harry passed away, his son, Charlie Haynes operated this 630 Deere on their family dairy farm until he retired. Charlie restored this rusty, trusty tractor to “better than new” condition in honor of his late father. The 630 Deere lived out its time on the Haynes farm and has now found its way to The Iowa Machine Shed. The Shed is honored to be the proud new keeper of the beloved Haynes family 630 John Deere tractor and will pass on the Haynes family tradition by providing tractor rides to guests.
Kids, families and tractor enthusiasts will all get a chance to experience a piece of Iowa’s past. Guests can enjoy taking photos with the tractor, going on tractor rides, and climbing on the tractor when it is seated out front. The tractor is currently in safekeeping at Van Wall Equipment and will be delivered to The Shed this Spring.
